We are a values-based organisation that is inspired and determined to improve people’s lives in significant ways. Working in unique, cross-disciplinary teams we create innovative and enduring solutions that transform businesses, governments, and communities. We realise a bigger idea of success.

Nous is regularly acknowledged as a great place to work as part of competitive workplace reviews. In 2023 Nous was again named one of Australia’s Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work, and was recognised as one of LinkedIn’s best places to grow a career, as a LinkedIn Top Company (Australia). We have previously been named Best Management Consulting Firm by the Australian Financial Review on a number of occasions and a Great Place to Work every year that we’ve entered for the past decade (Australia). We’re excited to be extending success and influence globally having recently been awarded A Great Place to Work in Canada and the UK in 2023.

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Coordinator to join our dynamic IT team on a permanent, full-time basis. Nous IT uses some of the latest cloud technologies to support our business, and due to our growth, we need to find an awesome IT Coordinator to assist with a variety of administrative tasks that come with a large portfolio of vendor relationships.

This is a new role for a fast-paced management consulting business, with growth opportunities for someone with meticulous attention to detail and the curiosity to identify and resolve problems. It combines IT asset and invoice administration with software license management, offering the potential to learn about stakeholder engagement, negotiation and to shape our IT service. This can be a hybrid-working role. The successful candidate will work at least three days a week from our Melbourne office.

Do you want to work at a company where you can:

  • Rudimentary cost analysis and data preparation to assist contract negotiation and IT budgeting.
  • Administer software license allocations, assisted by automation.
  • Confidently communicate to agree most appropriate software, duration of requirement and manage license count.
  • Support good information management processes and data security. Provide access to systems ethically; produce reports to demonstrate cybersecurity compliance and assist decision making.
  • Administer IT change records to ensure good IT infrastructure, application and device change process and documentation.
  • Gather and respond to feedback from stakeholders to enhance service and relationships.
  • Contribute to effective communication of IT policy, process and changes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; schedule meetings and coordinate small IT projects.

And the practical experience...

You don’t need 10 years’ experience in IT(!), but you will need:

  • An enthusiastic attitude to jump in and learn and improve administrative processes.
  • A delivery focused, can-do attitude.
  • Amazing attention to detail, and pride in delivering quality outcomes.
  • Great communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant qualification in business, IT, or administration (favourable).
  • Some experience of administrative process.
  • Some experience with client / customer service.

Attributes

  • Excellent accountability, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organized and self-motivated to manage workload and work independently.
  • Willing and flexible to sometimes work hours required to suit stakeholders based outside Australia.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills to make requests and secure agreement.
  • Confidence to enforce use of appropriate software and constrained license count.

  • Punctual, positive and able to work well in a team.
  • Resilient and able to readily adapt to change.
