DESCRIPTION
Amazon Fulfillment Services is looking for IT Manager to help drive the execution and improvement of key service delivery processes throughout the organization and ensure that the correct metrics and KPI are in place. This organization of IT professionals installs and maintains the technical infrastructure used by thousands of Amazon associates working in Fulfillment Centers across Australia.
This team is experiencing rapid growth as we expand our Australia Fulfillment Center (FC) network. In this role you will provide coaching, mentoring and guidance for a diverse team of managers and engineers. will travel to many FCs to meet members of the team, learn about the business first hand and develop relationships with General Managers and Senior Operations leaders of multiple sites. You will regularly manage large, cross-functional projects and interact with software developers, executives, vendors and other support teams. Loop competencies Multiple stakeholder management, conflict resolution and technical dive deep to handle multiple issues at the same time (MCSE, CCNA and Soft skills).
Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence - As a manager you will be expected to drive operational excellence in everything we do. This includes creating processes, procedures, and automation to improve efficiency in our day-to-day tasks and projects. You will work closely on supporting our internal customers and ensuring that their needs and issues are being addressed.
Performance Management/Team Health - You will own all facets of performance and career management for the team. Regular one-on-one meetings with all team members are required. You will be expected to provide both technical and 'soft skill' mentoring in order to maintain a well-rounded, world-class organization. This includes project management, quality audits, and coordination of training sessions with senior-level engineers as well as day-to-day oversight of the team including scheduling.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations experience
- 2+ years of leading technology teams as a information technology operations manager experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of professional or military experience
- Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of hardware architectures
- Experience with system management tools and client/server environments
