It Operations Manager

My client is a Victorian based NFP, who are a rapidly growing enterprise with a vision that all people with a disability should live full and fulfilling lives. With a Head Office, based in Melbourne, Six Degrees Executive has been engaged to assist the recruitment of a new IT Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation and Technology, you will form part of the wider Technology leadership team, responsible in managing four direct reports. You will be required to deliver effective technical services to all internal and external clients. This role provides oversight into the management of technology functions spanning Cloud SAAS Applications and Services, Infrastructure, Security, Data and Integration, Service Desk and MSPs.

This organisation has seen substantial growth over the past twelve months, and the IT function requires a leader to manage lead and grow the Service Delivery function, manage external vendor relationships, and build key relationships with internal stakeholders. The IT Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in updating systems and streamlining processes across the organisation and provide service management functions, being the point of contact for operational issues and the design and development of systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities will also include:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, understanding their objectives and challenges to provide effective IT solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritise IT opportunities that align with organisational goals and strategies.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT projects from ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and meet business needs.
• Manage and maintain operational technology and end user device lifecycle management.
• Work closely with external vendors to evaluate and select technology solutions that meet business needs.
• Facilitate the adoption of new technologies within the business units, managing change and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

For your application to be successful, you will have experience building and managing high-performing teams, providing coaching, mentoring and development opportunities to team members. You will be an effective collaborator with key stakeholders, and wider business units, capable in identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement.  You will ideally have a background in Service Delivery and be a self-starter, strong influencer, and someone who can think and plan long-term as the organisation is set to continue growing.
