THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the IT team, the IT Service Desk Engineer is responsible for providing Level 1 technical support to Simonds Group’s internal and external end users. There are three key components to this pivotal role:
- Providing high quality and professional levels of customer service to clients at all times.
- Providing basic to intermediate technical support to clients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring all interactions extend to both external parties and internal entities to coordinate the efforts or relevant resources towards the resolution of all support requests as assigned within the Service Desk system.
WHO YOU ARE
You will have strong/demonstrated/related type experience in the construction or related industry; and preferably a tertiary/TAFE building qualification or experience in IT industry.
In addition, knowledge of troubleshooting windows based Desktop/laptops hardware and software platforms and competency in using ticketing system is required, along with strong analytical skills and the capability to interact and have customer service Skills. You can lead/work within/actively contribute to a successful team, and along with a strong customer focus, the capacity to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach are pivotal to being successful in this role.
You will be an exceptional communicator, and are able to use your experience in leading a team/s to work together to and achieve set targets and KPI's. High attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
