Form of workAs an ITSM specialist, you will be influential in helping shape the PMO as the organisation prepares for an audit later this year. The IT Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project delivery by managing budget, scope and scheduling whilst guiding relevant projects to completion.
A high level of key stakeholder engagement will be required and there will be a great focus on teamwork, communication, safety and ensuring that the company’s technology systems are governed, maintained and functional.
What you will be responsible for:
- Coordinate and oversee multiple simultaneous IT projects.
- Prepare project documentation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish business requirements, performance expectations, and service levels.
- Manage project timelines and provide regular updates on milestones.
- Document decisions and changes in a dedicated register.
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues.
- Monitor and coordinate mitigation plans.
- Assist in developing and approving training plans and necessary actions.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal departments to tailor implementation plans to their specific needs.
- Ensure alignment with IT Manager on prioritization criteria, ensuring critical tasks are addressed first and in a professional manner.
- Communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders and suppliers as needed.
- Handle vendor escalations and maintain relationships as necessary.
- Essential qualification includes certification or experience in ITIL 4; consideration will be given to ITIL 3 certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal relations, capable of engaging with technical personnel and conveying information succinctly to executives.
- Proven aptitude in project management, supported by a successful track record.
- Capacity to analyze, comprehend, and effectively bridge the gap between business requirements and technical design and implementation.
- Familiarity with the applications being deployed.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and decision-making prowess to influence both management and internal/external collaborators.
