Catalyst Computers (based in St Peters) is a well-established business providing the full range of day to day IT support to small and medium sized business. Having built an enviable reputation based on providing proactive, customer focused, quality and efficient service, our client is now seeking a new IT Support Consultant to join the team. This is a great small business that values its staff and clients equally.
About the Role
We're looking for an awesome tech to join the Catalyst Computers team. We're only a small team, so every single team member has a big impact; we need the right person, and we need them now!
This is a rare Entry Level opportunity whereby full supportive on the job training will be provided. The role will ideally suit someone who has been established in the workforce for 5 years plus and wants to pursue a career change into IT customer support. At minimum, you will demonstrate a long term passion for computers and all things IT with strong customer service experience.
You will exhibit enthusiasm, positivity, professionalism, intelligence, and attention to detail. A proactive nature and exceptional communication is a must.
You will have the opportunity to commence work at 10.00am in return for your ability to work flexible hours and meet customer requirements. On the occasions when you work extended after hours or weekends, you will be provided with time off in lieu.
What will you do?
- Carry out regular maintenance and servicing of IT systems for clients including:
- Security scans.
- Software installations and upgrades.
- Inspect and service hardware such as fans etc.
- Build computers.
- Respond to customer enquiries and requirements.
What skills and qualities are we looking for?
- Hold a current clean drivers licence (will suit someone seeking work close to home).
- Outstanding customer service skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Don’t apply if you’re not confident and capable in this area!!
- Demonstrated stable employment history.
- Proven understanding of IT hardware & Software.
- The ability to think logically and solve problems accurately in a fast paced environment.
- The ability to work in a team environment as well as work autonomously when required.
- Exceptional level of honesty and hardworking approach.
- Commitment to learning, taking direction and continuous improvement.
