We are seeking an IT Support Level 1 staff member to join a small but mighty IT team onsite in Scoresby, Victoria.
As a Helpdesk Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's IT systems and providing exceptional technical support to our internal employees.
This entry-level position is designed for individuals with a strong passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the eagerness to learn and grow in the IT field. You will relish the opportunity to take on responsibilities and impact change. You will provide valuable support and actively support the technology applications reported by end users.
The Role:
- First Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related enquiries via phone or email, addressing or escalating client queries as necessary.
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Efficiently manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for users, encompassing the setup and removal of hardware, software, and access rights.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Address common IT challenges, guiding users through step-by-step solutions and escalating more intricate issues to higher level support when necessary.
- Documentation: Diligently maintain up-to-date records of all interactions, problems, and resolutions in Davey’s I.T. Job Management System.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with new technologies, software updates, and best practices, and make the most of the training opportunities provided by Davey.
With a strong ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, you will utilise your well-developed interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and listen to the end-user’s technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions in timely manner.

What are we looking for?
Ideally you will:
- 2+ years' experience in technology support in a professional services environment preferred or recent bachelor’s degree in I.T.
- Solid knowledge of PC hardware and software - Windows desktops, Microsoft Office suite, hardware peripherals (printers and laptops)
- An understanding of Office 365 Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint etc.) & Cloud platforms (hosted, SaaS, public and private)
- Highly organised with excellent time management
- Logging and correct handling of all relevant incident/service requests
- A willingness to learn and be self-motivated.
- Ability to conduct initial investigation and diagnosis of issues.
- A strong customer service focus / Excellent communicational skill
- Strong problem-solving skills with high impeccable eye for detail
