Job Description:
As a Level 1 and 2 Help Desk Support member, you will initially provide remote IT support with their team (potential for onsite support with development). From troubleshooting technical issues to maintaining network devices, your role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and enforcing good cybersecurity practices.
Core Responsibilities:
- Swiftly resolve technical issues within Service Level Agreements.
- Support daily activity reporting and other business reports.
- Set up technology and onboard/offboard users for blended environments.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft server technologies, including Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Implement robust security measures and ensure authentication services are reliable.
- Document and follow standard operating procedures and policies for clarity and consistency.
- Contribute to network optimizations for enhanced performance and security.
- Maintain local servers in fully operational and stable conditions.
- Install and configure new hardware and software under management guidance.
- Participate in hazard identification activities, including Risk Assessments.
- Utilize troubleshooting tools and techniques to ensure network availability.
- Test, implement, monitor, and tune IT systems for optimum performance.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work to identify and address the root cause of incidents to prevent repeats.
- Install, maintain, and configure network devices to documented SOE standards.
- Identify and report weaknesses in cybersecurity to the service manager.
- Maintain low count ticket queues.
Requirements:
- At least 12 months hands-on Level 1 Support experience.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft technology, including Active Directory, Exchange, O365, and Windows.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills to communicate effectively with internal staff and external clients and vendors.
- Ability to work autonomously with a positive mindset and think outside the box.
- A tertiary qualification within IT is preferred.
