The Role
The IT Support position oversees daily activities across the organisation as they relate to software applications and IT infrastructure. This position is the single point of communication and coordination for all IT users in the organisation. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively with management, staff and external IT suppliers as and when required.
This role will initially involve providing support to the IT Manager with the potential to grow to a fully autonomous role.
The position is based in Burnie, Tasmania and is for a minimum of 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide first point of contact, support and assistance for hardware, network, software and systems enquiries, and respond or triage as required
- Administer software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, password management, security software and telecommunications
- Procure, configure, install and maintain organisational and personal devices.
Skills and Experience
To be appointed to this position, ideally you should have:
- Experience and knowledge of computer hardware and software,
- High level of experience with Microsoft products including administration of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (desirable),
- Strong problem-solving skills,
- Sound written and oral communication skills, a demonstrated ability to liaise and interact with all levels of management, staff and external parties with a strong customer service focus,
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
