This opportunity represents an exciting opening within QM's IT team based in our head office in the Brisbane CBD. As our IT Support Technician, you will partner with our IT Manager to provide excellent customer service to end users and support the smooth operation of our IT systems across multiple sites.
On a day-to-day basis the role will be responsible for:
- Providing excellent user support and customer service
- Investigating, diagnosing and resolving technical problems
- Installing, configuring and maintaining computer systems
- Educating end users on security best practices and implementing and enforcing robust security measures
- Onboarding and offboarding of users
- Supporting company wide IT projects including but not limited to server refresh and printer roll out
Our recruitment process will include two rounds of interviews and pre-employment checks (2x references and a police check).
About You
In order to be set up for success on your first day we'll expect you to have:
- Relevant IT qualification
- Open car license to support multi-site operations
- Previous experience in an IT Support role
- Familiarity with supporting desktop programs, upgrades, and configurations, ideally, experience with the Microsoft suite is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and implement solutions
- Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations and the environment affect outcomes
We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything and will support your professional development in the role. So whilst it would be nice if your background included the below we’ll support you to learn them:
- Project management skills
- Anti-virus and security patch management and deployment knowledge and experience
- Desktop security knowledge and experience
