It Systems Engineer

The role:

This IT Systems Engineer role offers highly reliable IT services to internal and external users, providing a range of technical solutions that support Inviva’s strategic objectives. In particular, this role will focus on automating and streamlining internal business processes; enhancing our cybersecurity and data analytics capabilities; delivering desktop support; and uplifting our systems to enable our growing business. Joining an early-stage start-up offers a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to broaden their IT knowledge and be involved in a wide variety of activities across the business.

Reports to:

Chief Technology Officer

Role and key accountabilities:

• Working as an integral part of a small, high-calibre team to improve our systems, cloud infrastructure, cyber-security, data and automation
• Managing a variety of cloud-based systems, including Microsoft 365/Azure/Power Platform; AWS and Amazon Connect; and HubSpot
• Designing, implementing, testing and maintaining diverse solutions, processes, data/reporting and infrastructure, with close vendor engagement – for example, uplifting our payments capability
• Providing onsite and remote assistance to team members, to provision and maintain MacBooks and operational systems

Ideal experience & skills:

• An ideal candidate has experience in automation, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and/or data analytics; coupled with an enthusiasm for learning new technologies
• A proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment, demonstrating the ability to navigate ambiguity, and to flex seamlessly between the big picture and rolling up the sleeves to “just do it”
• Proficient in conveying complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong customer service orientation, with a genuine enjoyment of assisting team members with technical issues and devising efficient solutions to enhance our business operations
• Relevant degree and/or certifications, as well as experience in the Financial services industry (especially mortgage lending) would be valuable
