We are excited to commence the search for one of Australia's leading IT&T solutions provider who are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (L2) to be based in Caringbah South, NSW.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have proven experience or capability to act as a Managed Services Consultant with ability to conduct yourself as the final point of escalation for the below technologies (see further down)
- Have great communication skills and phone manner
- Show empathy and an ability to listen to the customer and understand the business criticality of your job for our client
- Accountability – ability to take accountability & deliver customer satisfying results
- Have a sound technical knowledge of server, storage, Backup, Security, Cloud & Network infrastructure
What will you do?
- Provide Level 2 IT Support
- Respond to and resolve phone and email escalations in a professional, timely manner with an emphasis on high quality customer service
- Responsibility for regular daily tasks including Backup, scheduling and management
- Undertake and be an integral part of project delivery
- Deployment of PCs using SOE technology including desktop refresh & rollouts
- Undertake problem management to investigate the root causes of incidents for the proactive prevention of problems
Technical Skills & Capability Required:
- Troubleshooting and administering: Ability to resolve and restore broken AD, servers, cloud or network
- End user troubleshooting, Directory Sync/Azure AD, User Account Management
- Conduct client site visits if the issues cannot be resolved remotely
- Server infrastructure including: Active Directory, DNS, Windows Servers (various generations), DHCP, Microsoft Exchange & Office365, server monitoring & patching
- Cloud & Virtualisation: Ability to build & support MS Azure cloud infrastructure, MDM & InTune
- Networking Troubleshooting: Strong knowledge & understanding of IP Troubleshooting, Subnetting, Core understanding of routing, Connectivity issues
- Excellent experience and knowledge of firewalls
- Back up & Disaster Recovery
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as System Engineer, Senior System Engineer or IT Administrator
- Tertiary qualifications in an IT or related discipline
- Technical certifications such as Microsoft Fundamentals (MS, Azure, Security) and job specific MS certifications, Datto and the like
- Preferably experience in Managed Service Environment with Autotask or ConnectWise PSA experience
