About the Company
Our client, established in 2002, is a leading and respected information technology solutions provider for businesses across Australia. They focus on delivering comprehensive and effective Managed Services across Cloud and Infrastructure, Network Solutions, Business Continuity, Unified Communications and Digital Consulting.
Due to growth, we are seeking for an experienced IT Systems Support Engineer (L2-L3) to be based in Sydney.
About the Role
Responsibilities
- Act as the point of escalation for the Managed Services environment
- Handle incoming calls, create, manage, follow-up and resolve support requests via ticket-based CRM with a high level of attention to detail whilst providing clients with regular progress updates
- Deliver quality, professional rem0ote support in a timely fashion (adhering to Service Level Agreements) using a variety of remote access tools
- Provide support to end users who are struggling with both complex and non-complex IT issues
- Undertake problem management to investigate the root causes of incidents for the proactive prevention of problems
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Subject Matter Experts and Team Leaders on support issues, escalations and in some ongoing project work
- Assist in some projects including infrastructure upgrades, networking, cloud migrations, security implementations and relocations etc.
- Assisting with some scoping and reviewing projects
Technical Skills & Capability Required:
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated experience in a senior role (MSP experience preferred)
- You already have or are pursuing Microsoft 365 & Azure certifications
- Strong experience with the Microsoft stack and virtualisation including 365, Azure, Intune etc.
- Extensive experience in the support of Microsoft core services, including Exchange, Office 365 including Teams, Azure AD, Active Directory
- Extensive experience in Windows Server systems administration
- Knowledge and experience across server virtualisation technologies. (VMware preferred)
- Extensive experience implementing and supporting Backup and DR solutions. Any technology is acceptable, Datto and Veeam products would be desirable.
- Highly knowledgeable across security technologies and security as a service
Required Qualifications:
- Full Australian work rights
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably in Managed Service Environment
- Tertiary qualifications in an IT or related discipline
- Relevant qualifications or certifications such as– MCSA (Window Server 2019 or 2022), MCSA (Office 365), MCSE, MCP
