We are looking for a proactive, client-focused Level 2Network Engineer to join our technical team.

What you'll be doing
- Remote and onsite remediation actions for outages, system changes, errors, problems and incidents
- Liaising with vendors and Telco carriers
- Project delivery tasks relating to new solutions including Security, Cloud, Networking, Infrastructure and Virtualisation
- Contributions to the knowledgebase and design documents and maintain and update where required
- Manage support tickets via our Professional Services Automation (PSA) ticketing system
- Utilise our Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tool for proactive maintenance tasks surrounding networking and remediation of automated alerts
- Support and maintain customer environments to ensure our support SLA's are being met
- Involvement with incident response support and reporting
What we are looking for
A solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, VPNs, and firewall knowledge, are required.
Proficiency in using advanced network troubleshooting tools like Wireshark for packet analysis, network scanners, and command-line tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup, tcpdump etc.
Understanding network security protocols and practices includes knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), security information and event management (SIEM), as well as the implementation of network security policies and compliance with security standards.
Familiarity with equipment and software from Cisco and Palo Alto.
Dependent upon skill level and experience, candidates will have L2 knowledge in implementation, configuration, troubleshooting and migrations across networking:
- Palo Alto Networks Firewall & Security devices
- Cisco and/or Aruba Switching
- Cisco and/or HPE Routing
- Wireless Access Points
- Internet connectivity and Telephony networking
- Virtual Networking Infrastructure administration (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
- Citrix
With the following being desirable:
- CCNA / CCNP
- Palo Alto Certifications
- Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Citrix, Cisco or HPE Certifications
Systems Administration experience or exposure will also be highly regarded including:
- Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft 365 Core Apps (Exchange Online, Office Online, Teams, SharePoint Online)
- Microsoft 365 Power Platform
- Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance
The following prerequisites are essential:
- Minimum of 3 Years Experience working for a Managed Service provider (MSP)
- Excellent customer service including fluent verbal and written English
- NSW Drivers License
