It Technical Support

Our client is a worldwide well-known and highly respected brand in the electronics industry. This position will sit within the Management Support department based at the Sydney Olympic Park Office. The primary function of the role is to provide Level 1 & Level 2 IT Technical Support. This role requires an individual to work 4 days in the office and 1 day WFH on a 12 month fixed term contract.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and business applications
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
• Talk to staffs through a series of actions, face-to-face, over the phone, Instant messaging or remote to help set up systems or resolve issues
• Setup and follow MIS internal security policies – Knox, Escort and Nasca
• Set up and manage new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
• Basic phone setup – Extension number and phone installation
• Support IT asset management and Ad hoc duties as required
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Support Video conference devices and functions

About YOU:

• Experience Required:

• 1 year or more IT working experiences and equivalent certification
• Over 1 years experience in Technical Support for desktop
• Technical Skills Required:

• PC H/W, S/W Technical Support
• Basic Network (LAN, WAN, IP) knowledge
• Basic Voice Network (IP Phone) knowledge
• Network/PC security
• Personal Attributes Required:

• The ability to prioritise workload and multitask
• Ability to think logically
• Have a good memory of how software and operating systems work
• Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with staffs to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
• The ability to work well in a team
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
