We are currently for looking for an ITS Engineer to be based in our Sydney office to support with delivery of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects. In this role, you will take up exciting opportunities with our team in Sydney as well as our national team of specialists to deliver great outcomes to our clients on a range of transport infrastructure projects.
You will support ITS leaders based in our Sydney team to deliver multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects for key asset owners.
Key responsibilities include
Apply engineering concepts, practices, and theory to design technical ITS solutions including ITS architecture, technical standards and analytics that meet the customer's real needs.
Understand project scope and develop solutions within defined technical and budget constraints.
Support the growth of strategic relationships with ITS clients whilst participation and interacting with internal and external project stakeholders.
Support the strategic development for the business.
Promotion of a safe working culture.
Essential skills and experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in delivery of transport or ITS infrastructure related projects.
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the fields of maintenance, design, construction, testing & commissioning of Intelligent Transport Systems.
Experience working within, or, as a supplier/subcontractor for medium to large organisations.
Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisation skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly valued skills and experience
'Hands-on' experience with ITS systems (building, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading)
Industry experience in roads/tunnels, rail, metro or similar
Experience with ITS Systems or similar including:
Radio ReBroadcast (RRB)
Public Address (PA)
Industrial networks, Cisco, Hirschmann, Stratix, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, IoT
Surveillance Systems, Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV), Digital Video Management Systems (DVMS), Genetec, Axis, Bosch
Automatic Video Incident Detection Systems (AVIDS), FLIR, Flux, Citilog
Phones (METS, FETS, IOCS, PABX)
Virtualisation and Infrastructure, VMware, SAN, Servers, SQL, Windows, Linux
Key requirements
Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field
Australian driver's licence
Must have the right to work in Australia
