Senior Java/ React Developer -Cybersecurity/ Risk Management Solutions.

Our client is a highly recognised global enterprise specialising in in cybersecurity and risk management solutions and they are now looking for a Senior Java/React Developer to join sophiticated development team in Sydney Global Technology centre.
Ideally you will be a Full stack Developer but back end or front end specialists will be considered who are open to learning
In this role, you will:

• perform complex research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional areas or product lines.
• provide direct input to project plans.
• schedule in the development of cross-functional software products.
• perform software design across multiple systems as well as mentoring other members of the team

Qualifications:-

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Technical Skills:-

• Advanced knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Expertise in development languages including but not limited to:

• Java (8 or above), Spring, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS, React, Go, python
• Design/Program with security, scalability and performance in mind.
• Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
• Test-driven development.
• Strong research skills.
• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
• Ability to design and work with complex data models.
• Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
• Strong command of object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• (Optional) Experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes and MicroServices architecture and Azure cloud tools.

The engagement will be an initial 12 months contract, likely to extend and you will have the opportunity to work remotely 100% of the time (the only pre-requisite will be to attend the initial onboarding in the office for the first 2 weeks – ideally!)
