About the role
Judicial Support Officers provide support to Magistrates before, during and after court sittings and must be comfortable using technology, thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well under pressure, have strong attention to detail and are committed to providing a quality service.
The role of Judicial Support Officer is responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to Magistrates in court proceedings
- Liaising with the legal profession, Police, Corrections and court users to ensure the smooth progression of court proceedings
- Maintaining accurate information in the courts case management database and
- Preparing accurate and timely court documentation
When considering if the role is right for you, it is important to consider the work of the Magistrates Court of Western Australia. Judicial Support Officers will encounter materials and information pertaining to criminal and restraining order matters that may be confronting and/or distressing.
