Medical Education Support Officer

In late 2020 the WA Government announced that full operation of the Peel Health Campus will transition to SMHS  on the completion of the current contract with existing private operator Ramsay Health Care  in August 2024. Peel Health Campus is a general hospital located in the City of Mandurah, 75 km south of Perth on the doorstep of the south-west, known for its stunning beaches, internationally significant wetlands, and some of Australia’s most spectacular waterways for boating, fishing and wildlife. It originally opened in 1988 as the 32-bed Mandurah District Hospital, and now operates with 206 licenced beds, bays and treatment areas. Transitioning the hospital to public hands paves the way for the hospital’s redevelopment and service transformation to meet the needs of the Peel-Murray region.

The Medical Education Support Officer is responsible for initiating, coordinating and undertaking the administrative, secretarial and training support functions of Medical Education within the Medical Workforce team at Peel Health Campus.

• The initial focus of this role will be to prepare and facilitate the transition of Peel Health Campus from Ramsay Health Care to South Metropolitan Health Service.
• This role will be based across both office locations- Myaree and Mandurah until mid-August 2024, then at Peel Health Campus from  transition in mid-August 2024.

Are you eligible? To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia.
