Engaged in various aspects of live bird transportation, including moving feed and servicing live bird farms, we are actively expanding our team.
Multiquip is seeking a skilled junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The junior Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading company in the industry.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist with P&L monthly and yearly close.
- Perform banking reconciliations.
- Conduct Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Handle intercompany recharges and reconciliations.
- Prepare and lodge business activity statements (BAS/GST).
- Manage accruals, prepayments, and general journal postings.
- Maintain insurance and property register, including updates and renewals.
- Manage fixed assets.
- Assist with audit and taxation.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by FC/CFO.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Working towards a CPA or CA qualification.

Knowledge Skills, Abilities, or Experience:
- 2 or more years of experience in accounting within a high-paced service industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly analytical with extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively and autonomously.
- Prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify and project manage new initiatives.
- Must have a can-do attitude.
- Honest and with integrity.
