Powerlift Industries (PLI) services the Australian resource sector and we are seeking a motivated and professional Business Administration Trainee to join our team. The selected candidate will undertake a Certificate IV in Business Administration whilst receiving high-quality, on-the-job training.
The Trainee Administration Officer will be responsible for running and coordinating the day-to-day administrative duties in conjunction with the completion of a Certificate IV in Business.
This role is Monday- Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm based at our Head Office in Karratha, WA commencing in mid February 2024.
You will need to be minimum working age but there is no maximum age limit to begin a traineeship. You will also need to be an Australian Citizen.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
• Answer phones and direct calls to the correct person.
• Addressing client queries via telephone, email and in-person
• Collecting and sending business mail.
• Organising functions and meetings.
• Sending meeting agendas and taking minutes.
• Managing and ordering required supplies.
• Scanning records.
• Maintain records and database systems.
• Efficient and effective file management including archiving and destruction of records in accordance with Record Keeping policy.
• Provide support to all areas of the business.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position you will:
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in Business Administration.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Be professionally presented with high verbal and written skills.
• Positive “can do” attitude.
• Demonstrate initiative and the desire and drive to learn.
• The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
• Strong attention to detail with well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong phone skills as there will be reception coverage required.
• Computer and basic I.T skills.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office suite (desirable)
