No prior experience necessary as we are happy to train the right candidate. Relevant experience would also be appreciated.

Rendo is a specialist cladding, re-cladding and finishes business operating throughout Melbourne providing all FC sheet, metal and AAC cladding installation and rendered finishes.
Rendo services builders constructing multi-story apartment blocks, high end homes, commercial offices, schools, childcare centres and recladding projects.

Working from our office in Moorabbin, you will enjoy clear communication in a light-hearted but focused work environment. You’ll be working alongside and support and report to the Senior Estimator to help grow the business via preparation of take-offs and quotes and appropriate follow up with prospective clients.
Position Responsibilities:
In this position you will be involved in all aspects of the Sales quoting process. This includes:
- Logging quote requests in the sales pipeline register and updating the register as the quotes are prepared and sent, etc.
- Reviewing the quote info supplied by the builder (plans, specs, etc.) to determine what the quote requirements are. Eg: cladding types, quote due date, etc.
- Setting up each quote template (an Excel spreadsheet template) with the info required to be quoted (Wall types / cladding types).
- Either doing take-offs using Bluebeam or sending the quote template, plans/info to our take-off team members and receiving the marked-up plans and template containing the quantities back from these team members.
- Doing reviews of the marked-up plans and updated quote templates checking for “sanity” / glaring errors, etc. that are prepared by our take-off team members.
- Finalising the quote with input from the Senior Estimator with respect to pricing etc.
- Sending the quotes out.
- Updating the pipeline with follow up activity
- Maintaining “rate costing sheets” for the products we install.
The role also involves liaising with our clients to clarify requirements for quoting and this will evolve to enable increased autonomy and responsibility as the successful candidate grows into the role.
The successful candidate will:
- Take pride in their attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Be computer literate able to use Excel, Word, email etc. and be taught / learn other programs we use within the business. eg: Bluebeam.
- Have undertaken relevant post secondary / tertiary education / training
- Be a pro-active problem solver with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude
- Be able to / keen to learn how to read building plans with respect to wall types, wall finishes etc. Training will be provided.
- Have a practical mindset
Basis of Employment
Full time permanent position
Probationary period – 3 to 6 months to be agreed
Hours – 38 hrs per week
Work days – Standard is Monday to Friday.
Remuneration Package
To be agreed based on experience and skills.
