An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Investment Analyst with great exposure in joining their well established Australian team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the investment team in making informed decisions through robust research and in-depth analysis of securities.
The successful candidate for this position will collaborate with Senior Analysts and Portfolio Managers, with responsibilities to include:
- Independently conducting fundamental analysis of companies.
- Developing and maintaining detailed financial models for companies.
- Publishing and presenting timely research notes and reports within a group setting.
- Collaborating with Senior Analysts/Portfolio Managers to generate key stock ideas.
- Building relationships and facilitating information exchange with contacts at covered companies.
- Staying well-informed about market, industry, and company-specific activities.
- Attending conferences, tours, and company visits and providing concise feedback and insights to the team.
- Working on special projects related to portfolio analysis for Portfolio Managers.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills & experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Postgraduate degree or CFA preferred but not essential.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in investment analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong understanding of valuation techniques, including DCF and multiples analysis.
- Exceptional critical thinking and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, and personable.
- Infrastructure experience would be highly regarded.
