The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate to take on a broad Junior Legal Administration Assistant role in our Carrara office working 2 days a week on Thursday and Friday.
As a Junior Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Gold Coast/Carrara office and occasionally providing remote assistance to our Brisbane office. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Photocopying, printing, scanning, paginating
- Data entry
- Attending court registries and government departments to file or lodge documents
- Mail collection and hand deliveries
- Undertaking general office duties
- Assisting lawyers
- Drafting correspondence, Costs Agreements and Costs Disclosures
- Opening, closing and archiving files
- Assisting our administrative team leaders
- Arranging meetings
- Compiling and collating documents
- Undertake general office duties as required
The Candidate
This is a casual position (2 days per week) that provides growth and development in a supportive and friendly team. The role would be ideal for a student currently studying law.
To be successful in this role, the legal industry will interest and excite you. You will ideally be studying law and looking to find your feet in the legal world. You are known for your outgoing and positive attitude, flexibility and team spirit. You will be driven, self-motivated and a fast learner. Past experience in a similar role is not necessary but will be highly regarded.
In addition you must also possess the following:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Pleasant and professional phone manner
- Ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable with working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel
- Well-presented and enthusiastic

Our Gold Coast/Carrara office is located at Emerald Lakes Town Centre.
