About the role:
The Junior Medical Workforce Assistant is responsible for operational and employment functions under the guidance of the Junior Medical Workforce Officer.
The Junior Medical Workforce Assistant plays a pivotal role in providing the first point of contact for Senior and Junior Medical Staff and visitors to the Medical Workforce Unit. They also support the Medical Workforce team in their day-to-day activities. This role is responsible for a range of duties including meet and greet, taking phone calls, collecting and processing forms, sending/receiving post, filing and on-boarding new employees.
Successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience working in similar role
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of internal external clients
- Proven ability to allocate timeframes and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and be capable of managing stressful situations
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads and manage several tasks concurrently on a daily basis
- Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and contribute positively to projects and initiatives as part of a team
- Sound judgement and maturity to handle sensitive and complex matters competently
- Competent computer skills and working knowledge of HR information systems
