Who We Are Looking For

We are on the search for a Junior Receptionist who is bright, cheerful and a responsible team player who enjoys customer service.

We are looking for someone with good communication and conversation skills. Able to multi-task and attention to detail.

We need you to be:

• Organised, reliable and punctual
• Willing to adopt our systems, procedures and policies
• Neatly and professionally presented
• Easy to get along with, enjoy a laugh, but know when to knuckle down and get the work done.
• Open to professional and personal development with a willingness to be pushed out of your comfort zone (in a good way!).

 The Role:

We need a Junior Receptionist to join team who will thrive on getting these (and at times, other) crucial tasks done - proficiently and efficiently:

• Checking-in and Checking-Out of customers and their vehicles including the handling of payments
• Vehicle Bookings
• Customer Invoicing
• Filing/Shredding
• Answering incoming calls and fielding inquiries
• Updating database as required
• Errands as required
• Job card preparation
• End of Day Payment Reconciliations
• Support to Office Administrator & Workshop Manager as required

The Hours

This is a FULL-TIME gig with hours anticipated to be:

Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Friday 7:30 am - 12:00 pm  

Who are We Again?

Spannerman Autocare is an independent, locally owned, established family business in Mackay CBD, Queensland who has enjoyed consistent and constant growth over the last 10 plus years.

Our core activities are Logbook and General Servicing, Major and Minor Mechanical Repairs, and Air-Conditioning Servicing and Repairs on a range of light vehicles of the common makes and models. We understand our customers and what their car means to them. We have a reputation for our outstanding service and mechanical excellence.

Your Must-Haves

• Current Manual Driver's Licence
• Driving record on request
• Current phone references – personal and professional
• Touch typing skills
• Previous customer / client service experience (desired not essential)
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, and general computer literacy skills to navigate cloud-based programs including our workshop database
