YOUR DREAM OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Junior Buyer to support the category vision within our Woven Tops team. This is your moment to shine and take your career to new heights!
You will thrive in managing critical paths and coordinating production across our global markets. You are a team player and are experienced working alongside Designers and QA to ensure fabrics, prints and style details are consistent with brand vision. With your sound knowledge of local and overseas market trends, you will drive creativity and innovation through demonstrating awareness of competitors and finding inspiration through various mediums.
Get excited to:
- Work with our Design team to ensure fabrics, prints and style details are consistent with brand vision
- Make commercial decisions throughout the development process of a product with respect to delivering the most commercial style in the most profitable way, adhering to brand standards & highlighting any changes with the Buyer
- Display a strong knowledge of local and overseas market trends through various mediums including magazines and online research
- In consultation with the Buyer, construct a commercially balanced range which offers the right mix of print, plain, and colour and end use for the business
- Ensure all department financial parameters and targets are achieved Critical Path Management - supporting the production process to ensure key dates are met
- Liaise and negotiate all purchase order details with suppliers ensuring best result for the business
- Provide clear communication, coaching and training to the Buyers Administrator and Assistant Buyer to maximize their performance and development
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU OFFER US
- Minimum 18 months experience in an Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer role or equivalent
- Qualification in Fashion
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) & fashion-related software
- Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast paced environment
- Good problem solving, Eeffective planning and organisational skills
- Ability to take responsibility and make commercial decisions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all stake holders
- A high attention to detail
- Broad awareness of trends and markets
- Professional presentation skills
