Opened in December 2020, our waterfront property at Elizabeth Quay is the only hotel located on Perth’s 72km Swan River. Duties:
· Assisting the Executive Chef in day-to-day operation of the kitchen
· Preparing menus as requested
· Producing food for guests efficiently, economically, and hygienically
· Maintaining a high standard of food preparation and presentation, according to recipes and standards
· Using all equipment, tools, and machines appropriately
· Assisting with inventory and HACCP management
· Working closely with the Stewarding department and all other kitchen staff
· Maintaining a professional and positive attitude towards colleagues, supervisors, and guests
Ideal Candidate:
· Commercial Cookery Cert IV or above
· Full Australian working rights and ample availability
· Minimum 2 year experience in similar role (hotel background preferable)
· Strong English communication
· Confident leadership abilities
· Knowledgeable in HACCP
· Reliable, flexible, and works well under pressure
· Skilled in time management and organization
· Ability to work in hot environments and stand on feet for long periods
