The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style 'Grand Hotel', situated on Spring Street and located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. Our beautiful hotel is looking for a full time Junior Sous Chef to join our team.

This is an ideal position for professionals who are willing to bring commitment, hard work and passion to our exciting brand. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, assisting in managing the day to day operations of a busy kitchen environment. The ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production.
- Prepare and present a wide variety of dishes with precision and creativity, following established recipes and maintaining consistency.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring proper food handling techniques, sanitation practices, and safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials that excite and delight our guests.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist in food ordering, and contribute to cost control measures to maximize profitability.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and guidelines.
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent culinary role is highly desirable.
- Profound knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team.
- A passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences, constantly seeking to innovate and elevate dishes.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.
