The Role
We are seeking a motivated, technically minded individual who is passionate about customer service and software to join our point of sale (POS) team in our Newcastle office.
Here at Pivotal our POS and software team is continually evolving to provide our customers with the latest solutions for their business. You will work with the latest Point of Sale technologies to deliver an outstanding service to our customers, who are primarily hospitality and retail venues in Greater Newcastle and NSW.
This role is ideal for someone who is relatively new to the field or just starting their journey as a technician. It's perfect for those seeking continuous training and assistance as they build their career.
Reporting to the Support Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Hardware run-up and configuration
- Diagnose Hardware issues
- Assist Senior Technicians with project work and support requests
- Attend client sites as required
- Provide a first point of contact for customers through our helpdesk, via phone, email or ticket
- Provide customers with a friendly and helpful Experience
- Provide basic remote troubleshooting to customers
- Log and complete job tickets accurately as per the company process & in a timely manner
- Escalate tickets that require Senior Technician support as per the company escalation process
- Maintain and write technical documentation for customers
What you’ll need to succeed
- To be successful in this role you will need:
Good understanding IT principles such as networking and Microsoft Operating Systems - Eager to develop new skills needed to grow
- A strong desire to deliver an Amazing Client Experience
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Valid Drivers License
- Passion for software and IT
- Point of Sale experience, desirable not essential
