An exciting opportunity has become available for a Key Account Manager to join a growth freight forwarding organisation .This firm is global with strong international presence and works closely with high profile global accounts
This is the perfect opportunity for a KAM that is looking for a role where they can have a direct and significant impact on the success of a business. You will have the freedom to go out and develop business in your own way, with large amounts of autonomy.
The main focus of this role is to manage a portfolio of strategic and signifant accounts across the mining and energy sector. You will ensure revenue growth, profitability and stragic alignments with our partners. You will report to and work very closely with the WA Manager.
Key responsibilities include;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, facilitating communication and coordination across various departments within the organization.
- Maintain an effective pipeline and business plan for each client on an ongoing basis to ensure maximization of all business offerings
- Pathway to budget growth aligned with Salesforce opportunities
- Work pro-actively within the target base improving awareness of business offerings.
- Research and identify key customers from local, domestic and International markets and sources.
- Conduct joint calls with the Customer Service Team and Team Members to improve awareness of 'value adds'
- Co-ordinate demonstrations, where necessary to ensure an awareness of the businesses offering
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in the freight forwarding, transport and logistics industry
- At least 2 years experience in sales/business development role with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Relationship Management
- A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Ability to prioritise work load
