As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our sales team.
Position Overview: As a Key Account Manager in sales, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clients in the mining sector. Your primary focus will be on driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the WA mining sector.
- Understand clients' business needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding the client base.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts, reports, and analysis to management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance and support.
- Resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients in a prompt and professional manner.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership qualities and potential for future growth within the organisation, with a willingness to take initiative and lead by example.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Alternative to the above, having a heavy mining technical/trade background coupled with minimum 5 years experience in a sales organisation/role.
- Proven track record of success in sales, particularly within the mining sector.
- Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, and technology.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
