Consisting of about 160 staff, GEGAC is a Not for Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability and Early Childhood Education.GEGAC is a child safe agency and has a zero tolerance of abuse or neglect of children and young people.Position PurposeThe KFFE program represents a refreshed approach to the delivery of Parenting support to Koorie families, In line with the principals of early intervention/prevention and supporting families as First educators of their children. The program has two components, practitioner support and the delivery of evidence-based programs. - Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal culture with the ability to liaise with and support the local Community.
- Demonstrated capability to meet the key responsibilities of this position.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to relate well to Aboriginal Families and young children.
- Ability/experience in coaching mentoring and supporting families with young children.
- Valid Driver’s License ESSENTIAL
- Qualification/Training in Early Childhood Development ESSENTIAL
- A working knowledge of computers DESIRABLE
- Satisfactory Working with Children Check and Fit2Work Police Check ESSENTIAL
- A person of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander background DESIRABLE
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccinated to align with mandatory vaccination directive applying to authorised workers ESSENTIAL
