Located along the river side promenade in South Wharf. Billie's Bites & Bar is looking for a energetic Kitchen Manager to join our team. Our philosophy is simple. We serve delicious burgers, toasties, salads, and beverages in a relaxed environment along the Yarra River.
This role will be pivotal in ensuring effective and efficient back of house operations. The venue will rely on you to deliver the quality product and service. As an established hospitality leader, we want to see you lead by example and be hands on with your team in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Your role will involve;
- Stock control and ordering and management of COGS.
- Effective management of kitchen staff ensuring quality of product
- Staff rostering and timesheets
- Sales budgeting and adhering to labour and sales targets/
- Maintain kitchen presentation, cleanliness and product integrity
- Maintain safe, secure and healthy workplace environment
- Opening/closing of restaurant
What are we looking for?
- Proven leadership experience within a fast-paced kitchen environment
- High standard of food preparation and productivity
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Experience in budget management and cost control
- Exceptional presentation, communication, time management & attention to detail
- Ability to work a flexible rotating roster including nights/weekends
- Experience working in a large restaurant group will be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Experience in implementing and adhering to Policies and Procedures.
Role Requirements:
- Food Safety Certificate
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
- Experience managing a team of 8 + kitchen crew.
