About Us
BGC’s Quarries, based at The Lakes along The Great Southern Highway, produce more than 1,500,000 tonnes of crushed aggregate a year, and supply the raw material for the required concrete, roof tiles, block paving products, road construction projects, civil engineering and large commercial projects.
The Opportunity
Due to significant growth and increase in production our team is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join the BGC Quarries team located at The Lakes, roughly 30 minutes north-east of Midland.

Your role will include:
Perform routine sampling and testing of raw materials and asphalt to recognised standards;
Exercise sound unbiased judgment when conducting sampling and testing;
Conduct checks of feeders, gauges and test equipment used in the manufacturing process;
Conduct activities at remote locations when required;
Conduct work in an organised manner, ensuring legibility and traceability in record keeping;
Review test reports and authorise the release of results, if authorised.
What we’ll love about you
Laboratory experience specifically aggregate testing (desired but not essential)
Promoter of harmonious team environments;
Can do attitude and willingness to aid and give advice where needed to team members;
Ability to conduct equipment checks and adhere to workplace health and safety policies;
A willingness to learn and grow your skillset;
Hold a current valid WA Driver’s License.
Willingness to work the occasional Saturday / Sunday shift (if required)
