We offer
- Salary range between $83,801 - $94,265 per annum depending on skills/experience, + superannuation.
- Salary packaging (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).

The role
You will work closely with various stakeholders to assess and on-board Noongar Land Estate lands within the Yued Indigenous Land Use Agreement area.
In addition, you will undertake GIS mapping and land data management services and also provide the Yued community members with land related advice.
Location: Based in West Perth, however you will be required to travel to communities (in the Yued region) to support monthly meetings.
Hours: Full-time - permanent.

Yued Aboriginal Corporation represents the Traditional Owners of the Yued region of the southwest of Western Australia. We work to manage native title benefits, while also advancing and strengthening Noongar culture, language, heritage, and society.
The Yued region refers to the Noongar language or dialectal group north of Perth, in an area approximately 115,000 Sq Km.
You will:
Reporting to the Lands Manager, you will assist to:
- Implement and manage a Land Management System (GIS and workflow data system) including onboarding leased land at the direction of the Lands Manager.
- Maintain GIS data and produce maps and related products to facilitate decision making about potential land transfers, land use planning, Aboriginal cultural heritage matters and other land related projects.
- Liaise with the Cultural Advice Committee and Board to assess and on-board Noongar Land Estate lands.
- Liaise with the Noongar Boodja Trust regarding the leasing and onboarding of Noongar Land Estate lands.
- Provide timely advice to the Yued community and external stakeholders regarding land matters.
- Liaise with Government departments, private companies and not for profit organisations about land related matters.
- Other duties as required.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience in using GIS mapping systems/applications and Microsoft Office computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Experience working in a land related field such as town planning, land development, Aboriginal cultural heritage management or conservation and land management.
- An understanding of Western Australian land tenure.
- Well-developed written and oral communications skills, including an ability to prepare reports, memos, and other documentation (including maps).
- Problem solving ability and initiative.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to, engage effectively with the Yued community.
- Current drivers licence.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualifications highly regarded but not essential.
