An exciting position is now available for a Landscape Maintenance Assistantto join a great team and help provide beautiful gardens for our valued clients.
Who we are
Plantability is a large commercial Landscape Maintenance company in Rockhampton and Yeppoon offering premium gardening services that assist our clients with beautiful landscapes.
What you'll do
- Undertake the full range of Landscape Maintenance duties
- Identification and treatment of pests, diseases and nutritional problems
- Keep accurate records, working independently (as well as part of a team) to replace plants which are in an unhealthy state
- Compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Industry Codes of Practice, as well as the Environmental Protection Act
- Complete tasks as directed by work schedule and Crew Leader.
- Perform all work in accordance with specifications, best practice standards and documented quality assurance procedures
- Operate the following equipment
- Manual vehicles
- Zero turn mowers
- Secateurs
- Weed-eaters
- Spray equipment
- Hedge trimmers and pole hedge trimmers
- Chain saws and pole saw
Requirements
Essential
- Ability to work well in a team, communicate effectively & follow instructions
- Previous experience in garden maintenance is a benefit but not essential.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor manual work and able to walk distances up to 5km per day
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current manual driver’s licence is a must
- Ability to work in conditions where traffic is present
Desirable
- Certificate III in Horticulture
- First Aid Certificate
- Chainsaw Certificate
- Chemical Distribution Certificate
- MR Truck license
