Large And Complex Loss Construction Supervisor Private Advertiser

We are looking for an experienced Large & complex loss Construction Supervisor who will hit the ground running. A local opportunity for the right applicant who can show enthusiasm, drive, proven site management skills and strong interpersonal skills. 

 THE ROLE

The main focus will be closing out the many and varied construction jobs which range from $50K to $5 million. You will work with a team of supervisors, subcontractors and tradesmen and provide construction knowledge and support to the team on an ongoing basis. You will have initiative, be able to execute a plan, be able to adapt and be an integral part of the middle management team.

The role is for an immediate start. You will bring your experience in project management, labour management, budgeting, materials logistics and workplace safety and quality.

THE REQUIREMENT

To be successful you will require:

• A certificate IV or higher in Building and Construction (required) 
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in residential building
• Expert knowledge of regulations and building codes and standards
• Extensive experience in residential and commercial construction projects
• Experience with projects ranging from ($50K-$5M)
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team with the ability to motivate and drive sub-contract labour
• Ability to read plans, set out and work to programme and drive projects
• High level of organisational and time management skills
• Can do attitude
• Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
• Experience and skills in WH&S and QA
• Good customer service skills – is a priority
• Superior computer literacy ( Outlook, Word & Excel) and familiarity with Microsoft Project and its application to effectively deliver projects 
• Along with private / client construction works familiarity with insurance repair and rectifications of buildings would be advantageous
• Not afraid to get hands dirty if the occasion arises
• Ability to travel between Sydney & the NSW Far south coast 
• A strong business / commercial acumen
• Experience with Liquidated damages, EOT’s, delays, variations to the contract, design changes, cost overruns, status reporting & contracts.
