About the role
- Collect, sort, wash, dry and distribute clothing/linen
- Maintain adequate stocks of supplies at all times
- Ensure chemicals are available for washing and the correct wash cycle is used for all loads
- Ensure heavily soiled items are handled in line with Infection Control Procedures
Skills & experience
- Interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Strong initiative and ability to work without supervision
- Experience working in a commercial laundry facility and/or in working in an aged care facility is desirable
