More information about our HW benefits can be viewed here: About the role and team We have an opportunity for a Lawyer to join our General Insurance practice in Canberra, working with a highly regarded team.

This role will focus primarily on the defence of personal injury claims across public and product liability.   You will be responsible for and have carriage of your own files, with appropriate supervision. Key responsibilities

You will be involved in a variety of matters including: reviewing documents and preparing evidence; drafting correspondence to the Court and third parties; conference with witnesses and preparing witness statements; preparing briefs for counsel; drafting Court documents and attendance at Court; drafting client advices; and drafting letters of instruction to experts. Skills and experience We are keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience: minimum two years PQE; experience with defendant personal injury claims, specifically within General Liability; and clear, concise legal writing skills with attention to detail.
