Summary
As a Business Development Manager for Travelport GDS in the travel technology sector, this role revolves around fostering growth and partnerships within the travel trade industry in Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Consultative Selling: Utilize a consultative approach to understand the needs and pain points of travel agencies and other stakeholders within the travel trade.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the Australian travel industry.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business objectives and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with Travelport GDS products and services, understanding their features and benefits to effectively communicate with clients.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to clients on the usage and implementation of Travelport GDS technologies.
- Networking: Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote Travelport GDS and establish new partnerships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and excellent customer experience.
- Experience: Proven track record in Business Development, preferably within the travel or technology industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the travel industry landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
