They are now looking for an experienced insurance lawyer to work across an interesting mix of property, indemnity and coverage matters.
The Insurance Team
Our client's insurance practice group is recognised as one of the leading insurance teams in Australia. The group regularly represents insurers and reinsurers in a broad range of insurance law matters including class actions, directors' and officers' liability, professional indemnity, property and industrial special risks (ISR), and product and public liability.
The team is led by two highly regarded partners in the market place who have been involved in some of the most significant insurance cases in Australia.
The Role
They have a unique opportunity for candidates at Associate or Senior Associate level to join the impressive and highly regarded Sydney Insurance practice working with two esteemed partners.
This role will see you will work on an interesting and broad mix of property insurance matters, with a particular focus on coverage advice and indemnity disputes. You will also work on General Insurance matters, providing advice on claims and coverage issues and practical assistance with claims investigations and fraud.
Requirements
You will be a lawyer with 3-7 years' post admission experience in insurance law gained in another reputable insurance practice or have an interest in developing further expertise in the insurance space.
You will also have:
- Experience with disputes, litigated and non-litigated and complaints to AFCA (but not essential)
- Critical analysis skills in respect to expert reports
- Excellent drafting skills
- Ability to develop and maintain high quality relationships with clients and colleagues as part of a dynamic team
- A team player attitude
