Leading Sydney based Big 4 Bank is seeking a Business Architect to work across a portfolio of risk programs.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Lead the Business Architecture function within assigned project delivery portfolio, to apply a structured business and process design approach
Identify stakeholders, develop, and maintain collaborative working relations.
Validate the scope, impacts and objectives of projects against business and process architecture using Group process and capability frameworks.
Work with business architects, process owners, project team, and vendors to lead baseline and target state business architecture definition, in line with strategic goals and objectives.
Facilitate and engage relevant teams and partners to design and deliver in accordance with business value priorities, business requirements and Group standards.
Develop well-conceived, clearly articulated pragmatic solutions and process recommendations to complex business problems.
Identify, escalate, and drive the resolution of process and operating models deficiencies, issues, and risks.
Provide guidance to business and technology led initiative teams to assist in their end-to-end Value Chain and process architecture activities and in their use of the Holocentric modelling tool and repository.
Ensure alignment between project business architecture and Enterprise architecture models.
Ensure alignment of all process deliverables to the Group Business and Process Architecture Standards.
Quality assurance of end-to-end process design on large, strategic programs and prioritised projects.
Share knowledge and learnings with the Project teams to grow capability within the organisation.
Engage and co-ordinate with project teams to deliver the required business process design services to define the target state design and support the transition and implementation of capabilities.
Be the trusted advisor for the program & project leaders.
Provide process management support for project teams, including the development of process maps, process validation and process training.
Working collaboratively across the transformation office with business stakeholders to design Change with a focus on capability maturity and continuous improvement.
Collaborating and creating synergies with Lean, HCD and Agile within the Transformation Excellence team and identify opportunities for leveraging these capabilities.
Running Learning sessions to uplift architecture frameworks adoption and architects' capability.
Partnering or influencing business leadership without direct authority.
The right candidate will have knowledge & expertise in the following areas:
Strong Understanding of business architecture in the context of a delivery portfolio and business domain.
Ability to work closely across delivery teams to inform the strategic vision in delivery.
The ability to recognise structural issues within the organisation, functional interdependencies, and cross silo redundancies.
The ability to apply architectural principles, methods and tools to business challenges.
The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings and articulate their collective relevance to the organisation and to high priority business issues.
The ability to visualise and create high level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement and communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organisation.
Lead planning and delivery of Architecture outputs for a large program or portfolio.
Key skills / education required:
Bachelors Degree
TOGAF, Applied Business Architecture certification (preferred)
Six Sigma qualification - Green/ Black (nice to have)
10+ years in consulting or delivery of complex solutions
5+ years as Business Architect
Demonstrated high level working knowledge and experience with business process management methodologies and architecture.
Significant business process effectiveness/development experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity in a division with a strong pipeline of projects. It is a permanent role and will pay $200 - $230K + super + bonus.
