Hours per fortnight: 80 with an ADO every 4 weeks

Role Description
The Older Persons Community Mental Health Team enhances the capacity to Bendigo Health Care Group Mental Health and Wellbeing Services to provide treatment to older adults 65+ who have a complex Mental Health disorder.
As well as providing a community based older adult Mental Health service in Bendigo, psychiatric services also has community based teams located in 5 rural areas throughout the region- Castlemaine, Kyneton, Maryborough, Echuca and Swan Hill. These multidisciplinary teams provide care to persons living in communities experiencing mental illness.
In context of an integrated Community Mental Health team, and under the direction of the Manager and team psychiatrist, Community Mental Health Clinicians provide psychiatric intake assessments and treatment, psycho-education and support for consumers of Psychiatric Services and their families/carer(s).

The Team
The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and Mental Health services. We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
