The Role:

HITIQ is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Technician to lead our Dental and Production team on-site at our South Melbourne office. You will be responsible for ensuring the manufacturing quality of our Nexus Suite of Products, primarily our mouthguards, by printing and preparing dentitions and forming our customers’ mouthguards. 

What you’ll do:

• Lead the current Dental and Production team members.
• Design and print dentitions for manufacture 
• Manufacture HITIQ instrumented mouthguards – Apply our technology to our customers’ mouthguards. 
• Analyse and assess dental scans for suitability and implementation of HITIQ technology into mouthguards for individual users. 
• Contribute to the design and development of the mouthguard.
• Provide expertise and guidance on mouthguards, dental anatomy and general know-how to aid design and development of HITIQ technology.
• Contribute to, and comply with, the Company’s QMS and QA procedures.
• Ensure timely completion and dispatch of product and accompanying records
• Assign tasks and ensure workflow remains efficient
• Process and perform fault analysis of returned goods to determine improvements and prevention.
• Document new procedures and contribute to editing and improvement of existing procedures.

Additional tasks:

• Assemble, perform QA and testing tasks on our products, as well as performing testing for research and development of engineering teams. 
• Receive, dispatch and maintain stock/consumables, equipment, laboratory and any other areas in the workplace.
• Collaborate with other team members across Company projects. 

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Diploma of Dental Technology or equivalent qualification. 
• 7+ years of proven experience in the field. 
• Qualified Prosthetists – desired. 
• Experience editing and 3D printing dental scans.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of contour, anatomy and teeth morphology. 
• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. 
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and standards. 

Please note, previous experience with the manufacturing of mouthguards or similar products, will be highly regarded.
