Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work in our small finance team on a flexible basis, gaining experience within the golf, hospitality and accommodation industries. The role is suited to a motivated individual who is looking for a hybrid role, that can work around school or university hours.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the Accounts Payable function.
- Assisting with bookkeeping including, bank reconciliations, invoicing, accounts receivable and maintaining accounting files.
- Assisting with payroll, superannuation, and associated payroll requirements.
- Assisting with the preparation of the half & full year financial reports.
- Assisting with the membership renewal process.
- General office support and ad hoc administration tasks
- Assisting with the membership renewal process
The successful candidate will have an interest in the operation of sporting organisations and a desire to help continuously improve the finance functions of the business. Training and support will also be available to assist with the continued education for the successful applicant.
The position is available on a full or part-time basis dependant on the suitability of the successful applicant.
The chosen candidate will also possess the below attributes:
- Experience with the Accounts Payable process of a business.
- Have a good understanding of general bookkeeping principles.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team environment, in person and online.
- Be open to further on the job training.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills.
- Have a professional, friendly and engaging personality.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially Outlook & Excel.
- An interest in continually improving policies and procedures.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
While not a requirement, knowledge of the Northstar Club Management software or Golf Industry experience would be beneficial.
