We require an Accounts Payable person with exemplary attention to detail and a professional work ethic to be part of our Administration team. You must demonstrate highly developed time management skills and be able to deliver on deadlines. You must be highly motivated and enjoy going the extra mile.
This position provides clerical, accounts-related and administrative support to the Administration Department and maintains all creditor accounts for the dealership.
Duties will include:
- Distribute invoices received each day to appropriate departments for signing off.
- Follow up distributed invoices.
- Reconcile all creditor accounts monthly and complete payments when required.
- Complete the necessary paperwork required for each creditor account and payment.
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Reconciliation of the company credit card.
- Switchboard duties shared with Accounts Receivable
- Receival of major stock items into computer system
- Assist Dealer Principal in ensuring prompt payment of major stock items and keeping an up-to-date spreadsheet of such items
- Preparation of daily banking
- General duties as required by Dealer Principal
We require from you
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Products in particular Excel
- Experience ideally in the use of the Xero accounting program
- Experience in the use of a POS system – preferred but not essential
- Experience in an account’s environment
- High attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively autonomously and as a team
- This role requires you to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality in particular when working with the Dealer Principal
