The Lead Educator we seek holds a passion for early childhood education that will be matched by your reflective nature, analytical skills, sense of curiosity and fun. You will join our Child Care Centre on a full time (38 hours per week) and permanent basis with Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year. This will be a senior position where you will report and assist the manager in all aspects of the Centre. What we offer

- Supervise, support and nurture the children in our care,
- Ensure the environment is safe, interesting and appealing to children,
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to the Nominated Supervisor/ Service Manager in all areas of administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, and any other areas as the need arises,
- Support the successful implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan and the National Quality Standard,
- Ensure the Nominated Supervisor/ Service Manager is informed of any problem arising which would affect the children or the smooth running of the service,
- Any other duties, within the scope of the position, as specified by the Nominated Supervisor/ Service Manager,
- Support the Service’s programming promoting commitment to continual improvement to the quality of care provided within each room,
- Follow housekeeping practices, which ensure that equipment is maintained at an optimal level, and the Service is kept clean and tidy,
- Assist in the completion of the daily, weekly and monthly duties (cleaning, maintenance etc.) to ensure a safe, clean and hygienic environment that is welcoming to all,
- Always act within the guidelines set out in the Code of Ethics (Early Childhood Australia Inc.), and
- Facilitate the successful implementation of the Quality Improvement and Rating and Assessment.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant diploma and at least 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience
- Current Senior
First Aid Certificate
- CPR including Anaphylaxis and Asthma
