Join our team at Rachel's Place Child Care Centre, an independent and community-minded Early Learning service dedicated to providing high-quality education in a nurturing environment. Located in the heart of West End, our centre offers a warm and inviting home-like atmosphere for up to 32 children housed in a spacious Queenslander with a natural, tree-shaded outdoor area.
We prioritise fostering genuine connections between children and educators, placing emphasis on relationship-building within our program. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in our pre-kindergarten program for 2-year-olds, collaborating closely with a dedicated, passionate, and supportive staff.
At Rachel's Place, we distinguish ourselves in two key areas:
Emotional and Social Well-being: We are committed to nurturing children's emotional and social development. Our professional development program equips our team with essential skills and tools to guide children in recognising and expressing their feelings constructively. Through mentorship opportunities, we ensure that everyone's emotional and social well-being is prioritised.
Connection to Nature: We believe in fostering a deep connection to the earth and our local community. Our forest school program, integrated into our curriculum from toddlers to kindergarten, allows children to engage with nature authentically. With real earth, sand, and water elements on-site, children explore and investigate the natural world. Regular excursions to forests around Brisbane enrich their learning experiences, fostering a profound sense of connection and belonging.
Aligned with the philosophies of Loris Malaguzzi and Attachment Theory, particularly the Circle of Security models, our multi-aged, child-led program emphasizes holistic development and meaningful engagement with our local community.
