An opportunity has become available for a Lead Hydraulics Engineer to join the team. The purpose of this role is to partner with our clients to deliver complex projects for defence, health, data centre and government clients and to coach and mentor emerging team members to realise their potential.
What will you do:
Deliver comprehensive hydraulic design solutions for large, complex projects Liaise frequently with authorities, clients, and other external stakeholders. Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high value outcomes for clients. Oversee design work for emerging team members to ensure quality and accuracy. Be the primary interface between clients and the Hydraulics team. Conduct site visits to ensure work undertaken is per the agreed scope and technical specifications. Contribute to the wider Hydraulics team globally on projects when the opportunity and need arises. Develop innovative hydraulic solutions that meet sustainability and efficiency standards. Mentor and develop emerging engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and project delivery. What are we looking for from you?
You'll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future.
Specifically:
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Certificate IV in plumbing design as a minimum. Demonstrate sound skills and experience in hydraulic system design. Thorough understanding of local Australian buildings codes and standards. Prior experience leading project teams on large, complex projects. Knowledge of Revit and other hydraulic design tools would be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to embrace new challenges and technologies. Commitment to professional development and staying updated with industry trends and advancements.
